Personalize
Sometimes, it's okay to take things personally. Say, at this weekend's event at
Pumpz & Company (Friday through Sunday, Galleria, Edina, 952-926-2252), where you can add a special touch to everythingg from iPhone cases to jewelry to totes.
See
Pick up the Pace! Yea, sometimes we can't help ourselves. The revered dealer (
Pace Prints) is offering a rare show of its artwork outside of its galleries. Catch the opening on Friday night (6 to 9 p.m., Friday, Burnet Gallery, 901 Hennepin Av, Mpls). Extra awesome (and a smidge meta): The exhibition was inspired by the collection at Le Meridien Chambers Minneapolis.
Sip and stir
It's great to live in a town where mixologists understand the importance of a complex cocktail. Now ambitious home bartenders can get out their shakers, thanks to the
North Star Cocktails book by Johnny Michaels of La Belle Vie and a "guild" of local bartenders. Or, do as we do, and leave the mixing to the experts at the
launch party (tonight, Mill City Museum, 704 S 2nd St, Mpls, $25 tickets). Then sample the concoctions of Adam Harness of Cafe Maude, Gina Kent of Bradstreet Crafthouse, Jesse Held of the Inn, Chad Larson of Barrio Tequila Bars and Rob Jones of Meritage. Long live the Valentino!
