What's worse than snow during the first week of October? Mount Everest-like conditions behind every door.

Never fear -- that is not what you'll find at Everest Studios this weekend at the St. Paul Art Crawl.

In fact, you can take refuge from whatever too-soon wintery weather at the new space, including ECHO BOX Art Gallery.

The space will feature an exhibit by seven local artists: Ken Green, Matthew Rucker (winner of the St. Paul Art Crawl poster competition, pictured), Rhea Pappas, Bob Bonawitz, Felipe Aguirre Larrain, Mark Granlund and Angie Berthelot.

This art will always be hot.

No matter how cold it gets outside.

ECHO BOX Art Gallery, opening tonight at 6 p.m., St. Paul Art Crawl, Oct. 9 through 11 at the Everest Studios, 713 E. Minnehaha Av., St. Paul.

Two more things! The Jodi Hills trunk show at Bibelot is from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday. AND, in addition to the already hectic weekend schedule, stop by the opening party tonight at Crave in St. Louis Park. There will be a Fizzy treat in the gift bags.
