The stock market is rather tumultuous these days. So this weekend, we're focusing our market watch on the new Mighty Swell Vintage pop-up shop.
Over the summer, Rae Danneman (pictured at right, Bourbon & Lace) blog-talked about Meghan McAndrews (pictured at left, High Plains Thrifter). They started a mutual admiration society and decided to collaborate on vintage (non-online) market that would reflect their taste and standards at low prices.
Analysts' early recommendations are to buy, buy, buy into the wares of High Plains Thrifter, Bourbon and Lace, Salvaged Strawberry, Two Birds, Geisha Pearl Vintage and Tula Baru.
Stock futures are fueled by reports of morning donuts on and on-site alterations on Saturday.
Then you can go home and crash.
Mighty Swell, Saturday (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and Sunday (noon to 5 p.m.), Umber Studios, 3109 E 42nd St, Mpls, cash and credit cards only. Look up Mighty Swell Vintage on Facebook for previews.
