Earth Day is upon us! Here's our loose interpretation of going green.

Drink Green
This makes us feel even better about our daily brew: By the end of 2011, Caribou's beans will be 100% Rainforest Alliance certified, making it the first major coffee retailer in the U.S. to commit to offering only sustainable coffee. They've introduced new flavors: Lacuna and Lakeshore Blend. If you purchase two pounds of these blends, you'll get a free reusable coffee sleeve.

Save (LOTS OF) Green
Ah, it's sales like these that put a spring in our step and our wardrobe. Everything at Bluebird Boutique (3909 West 50th St., Mpls., 952-746-8675) and at Ladyslipper (4940 France Av. S, Mpls., 952-224-1900) will be 25 percent off Friday through Sunday. All sales final. Speaking of final, Ivy (1440 West Lake St., Mpls., 612-827-2764) will be closing on May 15. Cope with some retail therapy: Everything is 50 percent off. While you're shopping: Everything at Bibelot will be 20 percent off on Saturday and Sunday in stores and online.

Green Party
Hey batter, batter, batter: The LEAD Project is hosting the first event ever at the Metropolitan Club at Target Field (Saturday, $65 general admission with open bar from 8 p.m. to midnight and $95 VIP with open bar, private tour of Target Field and gift bag). The event (a.k.a. Green Party) will benefit Great River Greening, which inspires restoration of natural areas and open spaces. You are, of course, encouraged to wear green.

Shop Green
Reusing has never been so glamorous. Fans of the Greed Gone Wild pop-up sale (today through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., 2014 Central Av NE, Mpls, 612-789-6006) know that it's like a garage sale that is filled with way more treasures than anything else. Amongst the stylist and designer finds, there will be some new faces/goodies this round.
